The Work We Do 

The Greensbrook Homeowners Association is a self-managed association focused on enhancing the quality of life for its residents and preserving property values in Greensbrook Section One. Led by HOA President Calvet Shelley and Gaynell Drexler, a contracted consultant specializing in association management, our key responsibilities include performing regular maintenance of the community's common areas, establishing a reserve fund for emergencies, enforcing community standards and restrictions, ensuring the safety of its residents, and creating an overall healthier community, including: 

  1. Maintain the community's common areas
  2. Maintain community easements and rights of way
  3. Periodically maintain abandoned lots and structures
  4. Report dilapidated structures and overgrown lots to Harris County Nuisance & Abatement
  5. Maintain a reserve fund for emergencies
  6. Partnered with MUD No. 148 to reconnect and maintain community streetlights
  7. Prohibit the overnight parking of eighteen-wheelers and commercial vehicles
  8. Host annual community volunteer clean-up events
  9. Host annual youth basketball camps free of charge
  10. Foster communication and dialogue with residents in the community
  11. Foster relationships with community partners, including Houston Habitat for Humanity, the Houston Bar Association, Scientology Volunteer Ministers, Sheldon ISD, and Drexellence Foundation
  12. Promote an anti-pollution campaign to address illegal dumping and environmental crisis
  13. Host Annual Membership Meetings
  14. Host Quarterly Board Meetings
  15. Conduct monthly violation inspections and tracking
  16. Enforce deed restrictions pertaining to lot maintenance
  17. Secured sheriff and deputy patrol in the subdivision in partnership with MUD No. 148
  18. Manage annual assessments and fees
  19. Produce annual financial reports
  20. Maintain the books and records of the Association
  21. Outsource severely delinquent accounts to a partnering collections law firm
  22. Maintain General Liability and Directors & Officers insurance
  23. Maintain compliance with taxing federal, state and local authoritie
  24. Commissioned nationally-known artist Reginald Adams to create and install a new mosaic monument at the Kingslake Forest entryway to the subdivision
  25. Negotiated the sale of HOA-owned property to MUD No. 148 for future water infrastructure.
  26. Designated a one-acre lot at the corner of Kingslake Forest and N Lake Houston Pkwy for a future pocket park, micro-forest and mini-prairie that will serve as a nature escape for residents
  27. Developed a designated website for Greensbrook Homeowners and cloud-based software through ManageCasa that allows owners to view their accounts, submit requests for exterior modification, access community documents, message the HOA, and make payments online
